Education
I was born in New Delhi, India. I did my schooling at Mata Jai Kaur Public School, New Delhi and completed my undergraduate degree in Computer Science Engineering at Kurukshetra University. Been fasinated with the field AI and machine learning, I flew to Vancouver to do my Masters in Data Science at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver. I look forward to become a Data Scientist, and a good one at that.
Employment
During my final year of Engineering I got campus placement with Hexaware Technologies. After graduation, I took up the offer of Hexaware Technologies, Chennai as an Software Engineer. After 6 months of intensive industrial training, I was posted to Global Travel and Transportation Unit – Travel Americas team in Mumbai for Air Canada project. Worked in Air Canada reservation systems and Air Canada check-in systems. My work included applying business analytics and software engineering solutions for Airline Management System for Air Canada. I worked there for two years and said Goodbye to all my dear colleuges and mentors to pursue my Masters in the field of Data Science and Machine Learning.
Other Stuff/Interests
I am a huge travel bug and a hardcore Foodie. My weekends are spent with my Canon capturing all the wonderful experiences of my journey while travelling the world, trekking, swimming, learning data science, cooking, eating all kinds of street food, adopting any kind of fashion and anything thats excites me. So far I have travelled to 14 states + 4 union territories of India, lived in Delhi, Chennai and Mumbai, have survived a flood, learnt 5 languages, took a break from my job for travelling, made more than 100 people laugh/smile, found some irritating yet dependable friends, have driven in heavy traffic of metro cities, meditated on the snow-capped mountains of Himalayan range.
